In a new condominium that I recently moved into, a large TV in a lift cabinet seemed the ideal solution for a home theatre experience in the living room without having the TV dominate the space. After exploring various alternatives, I eventually chose the Touchstone Espresso cabinet purchased through TheaterLift. Doing the purchase over the internet seemed risky. However several telephone conversations with both companies gave me confidence that the risk was minimal and that if I ended up truly dissatisfied my risk was at most the delivery costs. Some details about the outstanding customer service from both companies follows but in summary, I'm delighted with the cabinet and incredibly impressed with the customer service.
Before placing the order with TheaterLift I discussed color and design with Touchstone and in response, they sent wood samples to help me in making the choice. Since the TV to be installed in the lift cabinet was of a special design in weight and dimensions (the Bose Videowave) I also wanted to be certain that the cabinet and lift mechanism could accommodate the TV and related components. In response to that issue, Touchstone provided detailed dimensions and drawings all of which made it clear that the system would work with the Videowave. Delivery was "white glove" as they advertise and the delivery team was efficient and pleasant.
In spite of all the detailed prior interaction on dimensions, the mounting bracket and roller bar with the cabinet that was delivered could not properly accommodate the videowave. Evan (TheaterLift) assured me the problem was solvable and if not, the cabinet could be returned for a full refund. Subsequently Evan scheduled a date to return with a modified mounting bracket and roller bar. He and the owner of Touchstone rectified the problem on the return trip and it all now works flawlessly. I just wanted to let you know the cabinet was delivered yesterday and I am very impressed. I was quite hesitant of ordering a piece like this online but it was well worth it. The guys delivering it didn’t know anything about it so I will finish the setup this weekend. I did notice that there was glass shelves included and we talked about getting wooden ones instead. Is there any way to ship me some and I can send these glass ones back. Again, thanks for all your help and I will definitely be letting everyone I know about you guys and will probably post a youtube video referencing your company. Mike C. November, 2011
First, I had trepidation's regarding such a large purchase on the Internet! Well, I am now most impressed with the purchase and particularly with the service delivered from time of order to in-house repair the lift. Unfortunately, I don't know the owners of the company to send them a direct compliment for hiring such outstanding personnel. Perhaps you could take care of that. As background I work with many small businesses on Cape Cod through an organization known as SCORE, associated with the SBA (Small Business Association). All of you exercised the type of service that we (SCORE) try to instill in our small business clients. While you may not be a small business, you are delivering service that assures continued success.
First, Rick answered questions regarding the size of cabinet storage that I requested within less than 24 hours. While he didn't have the information at hand, he researched it and got back to me quickly. When I had a problem understanding where the shelves and hardware were located, he quickly sent an e-mail to Brian who responded immediately wt. the answer... Upon having a problem with the lift not fully closing, Brian carefully walked me through possible problems on the phone. Having completed all the suggestions, he arranged to have an on-site repair person (Evan and helper) come to fix the problem. Due to being away in later December and early January, Brian scheduled the service on Wed. the 19th. Perfect timing for me and my wife. Evan and his helper (name?) were outstanding customer service representatives. Evan called me when they would arrive, leaving a message on my cell because I was in a meeting. However, Brian followed up a few minutes later to reiterate there expected arrival. Evan and his helper both shook hands when I arrived, quickly reviewed what they had done and were working on. They were pleasant and professional and appeared to arrive with the necessary parts to complete the job. Having once managed a computer installation and service organization, I was most pleased. Evan left a call back number if any further problems should occur. Overall, I am most pleased with the professionalism and only make some suggestions to further improve a good experience. Dave and I just wanted to say Thank You for all of your help throughout the entire process of purchasing our new lift top cabinet. You have been an incredible asset while we sorted through all of the options and ultimately chose the cabinet we wanted. As you know, it can be frustrating trying to make a large purchase sight unseen and with no input from other owners and through it all, you were calm, helpful and it was quite obvious that you know the products you sell - inside and out. You helped make the purchase pleasurable and eased any apprehensions regarding the delivery and installation so that Dave was able to have it up and running in no time and that is very much appreciated. You are a very valuable asset to your company and as I said before, I truly hope they know what they have! It is really rare to find an employee so dedicated, knowledgeable and patient from beginning to end. Thank you for making this such a painless transaction. We look forward to hearing from you as soon as Dave sends you the pictures of the rubbing and in the meantime, please pass this along to your supervisors because you do a GREAT job....very impressive!!.

We bought a couple of TV lift cabinets; one for the foot of the bed and one for the living room. We were pleasantly surprised at the personal attention that we received with our purchase. We researched TV lift cabinets for a few months and Evan from TheaterLift kept in touch the entire time. When we finally purchased the furniture, we were given a hands-on tutorial, extra hardware and answers to any questions we could possibly have. The is such an awesome addition to our house and is definitely the centerpiece of any room. The lift cabinet is beautiful, easy to use and the entire research and purchase process was absolutely a great personal customer service experience. We are definitely recommending TheaterLift. I can't begin to explain how impressed I am with the quality of the cabinet and lift, not to mention the extra features you guys don't list on your website like the accent lighting and powerstrip!
